Emma Bailey-Beech

Emma has worked across the agricultural supply chain from farm to abattoir, and within livestock policy in Defra. She is now a policy adviser in the Sustainable Farming Incentive Pilot Team (part of the team working on environmental land management schemes) and leads on a project looking at how Defra schemes could interact with external assurance schemes to improve how we monitor Sustainable Farming Incentive agreements.

In this post, Emma Bailey-Beech writes about her background in agriculture and how it led to working on the Future Farming and Countryside Programme. We’re grateful to have people in the team with hands-on experience in the farming sector, and can bring it to bear on our work.
