Over the past 2 years, the Foundation for Common Land, in collaboration with the Federation of Cumbria Commoners, delivered a tests and trials project to look at commons. In this guest post, Professor Julia Aglionby shares their work which explored how environmental land management schemes should be developed to support commons.
Professor Julia Aglionby
Julia Aglionby is Executive Director of the Foundation for Common Land, Chair of the Uplands Alliance and a practicing Land Agent and Agricultural Valuer.
Julia was a Board Member of Natural England from 2014 - 2019.
Julia is now a Professor in Practice at the University of Cumbria’s Centre for National Parks and Protected Areas and lives in Cumbria on an organic pasture for life Care Farm - Susan’s Farm CIO - of which she is a Trustee.
