Following the publication of the final Sustainable Farming Incentive 2026 (SFI26) scheme information today, we're hosting a webinar with the Farming Advice Service (FAS) on 25 June.
The session will provide an opportunity to hear directly from members of the SFI policy team, who will talk through the scheme and answer your questions about the offer.
Colleagues from the Rural Payments Agency (RPA) and Catchment Sensitive Farming (CSF) will also attend.
Whether you're already familiar with the offer or are just starting to explore the scheme information, we hope you'll be able to join us.
Since publishing the near-final SFI26 scheme information earlier this month, we've received helpful feedback from farmers, land managers and stakeholders.
We've used that feedback to make a few minor updates and clarifications to the final scheme information. Thank you to everyone who took the time to get in touch.
Before the webinar
Ahead of the session, we encourage you to look at:
The SFI26 scheme information, includes:
- the terms and conditions that apply to all SFI26 agreements
- the scheme rules, which explain the mandatory requirements set out in the terms and conditions
- the requirements for each SFI26 action, available through the "Find funding for land or farms" service on GOV.UK
- guidance to help applicants apply for and manage an SFI26 agreement
Taking a look at these resources before the webinar will help you get the most from the session and give you the opportunity to think about any questions you'd like to ask.
A reminder that the SFI26 offer will have 2 application windows:
- Window 1 – an initial window from June 2026 for 2 groups – small farms and also farms without existing Environmental Land Management revenue agreements. You only need to be in one of these groups to be eligible to apply in Window 1.
- Window 2 – a second window opening from September for all farms.
We expect to open the first application window to farmers in the 2 groups eligible for Window 1 from 30 June 2026.
Before we do this, we will invite a small number of eligible farmers to apply in the next few days to test and refine the application service in a controlled way. This is to make sure the application service is working as expected ahead of full rollout.
Register to attend
The webinar will take place on 25 June at 2pm.
It will finish at 3.30pm.
If you'd like to attend, please register through Eventbrite.
We look forward to seeing you there but if you can’t make it, don't worry. We'll post a link to the recording in this post once the session is over and you can watch it back when it's convenient for you.
