Farmers, growers and foresters who want to develop and implement innovative agricultural practices and technologies will soon be able to apply for funding through the Farming Innovation Programme (FIP). Guidance for the Precision Breeding and Low Emissions Farming competitions is available now, so you can prepare before they open on 5 May.
Through the Feasibility Studies competition, grants are available to support new solutions that address major on-farm or immediate post farmgate challenges or opportunities. I said I’d blog again when the competition opened. I’m pleased to say it’s now open!
From the end of this month, £16.5 million will be available through 2 new research and development competitions. However, all projects must focus on improving the productivity, environmental sustainability and resilience of England’s agricultural, horticultural and forestry sectors. In this post, I'll give an overview and an update on the previous rounds.
