Tony Da Silva

Tony Da Silva is the Wigan Greenheart Landscape Recovery Project Manager and sits on the Great Manchester Wetlands Species Reintroduction Group. His current role with Lancashire Wildlife Trust is dedicated to Nature’s Recovery.

He specialises in working in partnerships to deliver evidence-based landscape scale habitat restoration, with an extensive background working with local record centres to update designated site information, coordinating local groups and community volunteers to deliver biological recording and restore peatland habitats throughout the north-west of England.

Recently, his work has been focused more around developing and delivering wetland landscape enhancements to improve biodiversity and aiding species movement - through effective partnerships, such as The Carbon Landscape.

The Wigan Greenheart Landscape Recovery project covers a combined area of approximately 1,446 hectares in Lancashire.
