Farmers in England can now get funding for vet visits for each of their herds or flocks of the same species.
This includes Animal Health and Welfare Reviews as well as follow-up visits for endemic diseases, offered through the Get Funding to Improve Animal Health and Welfare service.
This means that if you manage several groups of cattle, pigs or sheep, you can now get support across your business – not just for a single herd or flock.
To help you learn more about this offer, we’re holding 2 webinars this month.
You’ll learn more about how to apply, what’s included in a funded visit, and how it can support your business.
What we’ll cover
We’ll explain how the Animal Health and Welfare Review works and how it has been expanded to offer more support.
You’ll hear:
- how the review can help you spot and prevent health issues early
- how to apply and what the funding covers
- how to book your vet visit and claim your payment
- how the optional follow-up visit works
There will be time for questions.

Hi Tracy,
Thank you for your comment and interest in the webinars. We are planning a webinar for cattle farmers at a later date. Once a date is confirmed, we will put the details and sign up link on our webinar page here: https://defrafarming.blog.gov.uk/webinars-in-2025/
I can also pass your e-mail on to the team so they can send you the details as soon as they are available, if you're happy for me to do that.
Best wishes,
The Team
