If you’re considering applying for support through the latest rounds of the Accelerating Development of Practices and Technologies (ADOPT) Fund, this is a reminder that application deadlines are approaching.
There are 2 opportunities currently available:
- The Full ADOPT Grant, which opened for applications on 5 February 2026, closes on Wednesday 8 April 2026 at 11am.
This grant supports collaborative farmer-led, on-farm trials and demonstrations.
- The Facilitator Support Grant, open since 25 February 2026, closes on Wednesday 15 April 2026 at 11am.
This grant enables farming, growing or forestry businesses in England to engage an external project facilitator to support the development of a Full ADOPT Grant application.
Help with your application
If you need guidance or have questions about the fund, support is available to help you through the process.
ADOPT Support Hub
The ADOPT Support Hub, delivered by ADAS, UK Agri-Tech Centre and The Soil Association, is your first point of contact for advice and support. The team can:
- provide guidance on project scope, suitability and on-farm trial practicalities
- help connect you with the right expertise, partners and capabilities for a strong application
- share best practice approaches for on-farm research and development
- support the sharing of knowledge and results from funded projects, so others across the sector can benefit
It has some great videos showcasing farmer-led innovation.
Watch the webinar
If you’d like to learn more about how to apply, you can watch a webinar on ADOPT delivered by Innovate UK when the fund launched in 2025.
It covers the application process and things to consider before submitting.
Further funding opportunities
ADOPT is part of the Farming Innovation Programme, delivered in partnership with Innovate UK.
Funding rounds are ongoing until November. Full details are available on the Farming Innovation Programme website.
The next opportunity to apply for the Full ADOPT Grant is just around the corner. Round 7 will open on 9 April, giving farmers, growers and forestry businesses another chance to access funding and take forward practical, on-farm innovation.
If you’ve been developing an idea or considering applying, now is a good time to start preparing so you’re ready when applications open.
Round 8 of the Facilitator Support Grant will open on 16 April and close on 27 May 2026.
